IMVC Celebrates 10th Anniversary!

One of the main goals of IMVC is to advance and promote students and startups.
Over the past decade, we have been pleased to host many students and to observe their success in academia and the industry.
This year, we are excited to host Itamar Friedman, Director of the Alibaba Israel Machine Vision Lab as a keynote speaker.

We first met Itamar at IMVC 2012, where — as a Technion Masters student under the supervision of Prof. Lihi Zelnik-Manor — he presented his work on logo detection.

Itamar appeared again later, at IMVC 2014, as a founder of Visualead that participated in the IMVC startup competition showcasing unique technology developed on the basis of QR codes.

After several years of cooperation with the Alibaba megacorporation, Itamar led the establishment of the Alibaba Israel Machine Vision Lab for the development of machine learning technologies.
